November 11, 2022 – The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce announced the arrival of boutique Elle Marché at 18 Lewis Street, founded by designer and fashion executive Rita Overzat. Elle Marché features artisanal clothing, accessories, beauty, and home decor from across the globe: vintage denim from Paris,  jewelry from the South of France handmade rugs from Morocco, outerwear and jewelry from Milan, Indonesian snakeskin handbags, Mongolian cashmere, and more. The boutique opened on Monday, November 7, 2022.

“We bring Fifth Avenue – and the world – to Greenwich,” said founder Rita Overzat. “We work with fantastic designers from the South of France to South America, North Africa to Northern Italy, California to Connecticut, Southeast Asia to Lower Manhattan. I’m thrilled to share treasures of gypset style, discovered throughout my travels, with Greenwich’s sophisticated shoppers.”

Elle Marché is the expanded expression of Rita Overzat’s luxury handbag brand — Beirn. The Elle Marché woman has, like its founder and her daughters (Beirn co-founders) Ali Trier and Jenna O’Rourke, a passion for travel, a zest for adventure, and a desire for decadence. In addition to Beirn and Elle Marché, Rita Overzat is the founder of The RJM Group: a Fifth Avenue-based luxury brand development firm that represents emerging American ateliers and established international designers. The RJM Group “puts these designers on the map” in North American markets, said Rita Overzat.

Elle Marché
will feature many designers during the holiday season such as Piccolo New York (cashmere), Bounkit jewelry, Keep Out bracelets, Erin Knight Vintage jewelry, Stefano Ghilardi (apparel and accessories, and Beirn (handbags).
