SUMMARY:Greenwich St. Patrick's Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place Sunday March 19 this year.\nThe parade begins at 2 p.m. at the Town Hall southern parking lot and goes north down Route 1. It then turns to Greenwich Avenue and continues down to Steamboat Road where it ends.\n\nParking restrictions start at 10 a.m. and there will be no parking on the east side of Greenwich Avenue from West Putnam Avenue to Steamboat Road. There will be no parking on the west side of Greenwich Avenue from Bruce Place to Steamboat Road.\n\nDayton Avenue will be closed at noon from Field Point Road to the entrance of the supermarket to facilitate parade trucks and floats.\n\nVehicles illegally parked will be towed.\n\nRoad closures in the downtown area will begin around 1:30 p.m. Detour signs and officers will assist in guiding traffic.\n\nRoute 1 will be closed from Dearfield Drive to Lafayette Place from 1:45 p.m. until about 3 p.m.
