How Can Greenwich Prepare to Welcome Businesses?

Economic development is not just an issue for think-tanks or State governments. In a recent article by Robert Santy, the president and CEO of the Connecticut Economic Resource Center Inc., he states,

"It boils down to this: if we are going to ask global companies to invest in Connecticut by locating here, we need to be prepared to welcome them. The decisions we make, particularly in how we approach economic development at the municipal level, will either put out the welcome mat or make bringing a business here nearly impossible.”

This statement is very true. If you are a business owner and have recently moved to Greenwich or tried to renovate or expand your business, you might certainly have an opinion on how welcoming our Town could be toward supporting your business’s needs. Our committee seeks your input into how our Town helps and what can be done to change business recruitment. We look forward to hearing your ideas and joining us at our upcoming Advocacy event this fall with Katie DeLuca, Director of Planning and Zoning this September 22nd.
